Community Employer program

“Building relationships between adults with an intellectual and developmental disability (IDD) and community employers.”

If you’re an employer, you know how difficult it can be to find skilled, dedicated employee’s willing to perform certain tasks. Through FRA’s Employment Services, we can help by matching employer’s needs with individuals who are ready to work. People who experience a disability want to work, employers need to fill positions and FRA is here to link the two.

We understand that businesses may have concerns about the cost of hiring someone with a disability to work in their company. There is no cost to the employer because our services are 100% free. Support is individual-based around work-related goals that focus on meeting employment expectations while helping the employee obtain the maximum level of independence within their job.

  • Save money on recruitment costs
  • Provide new hire training and support through an Employment Specialist who accompanies the employee
and helps integrate them into your workforce
  • Lower rates of absenteeism and turnover in those tough to fill positions
  • Decreased labor costs
  • Improved revenues
  • Improved employee morale
  • Individuals have been placed in jobs at retail stores, restaurants and business offices among others.
