For over 45 years, Fairbanks Resource Agency (FRA) has been helping people with disabilities live independently, form friendships and find good jobs. Through the FRA Small Business Operations (SBO) and the participation with the AbilityOne program / SourceAmerica government and commercial contracts, individuals can acquire job skills and training, receive good wages and benefits and gain greater independence and quality of life.

FRA believes that if a person has the desire to work, no matter their ability, they deserve the opportunity to acquire the necessary skills and find a career where they are valued. Individuals employed through the SBO and AbilityOne program services enjoy full inclusion and use their learned skills in other public and private sector jobs. Plus, revenue generated from these services are reinvested in the Fairbanks North Star Borough area.
